Hotel Review of the Four Seasons Hotel

Not sure why this restaurant is not available to review in the restaurant
section, so I've done the review on the hotel as if it was the restaurant!
Overall the food was pretty good. The service was so so. My Champagne was flat
when served, but they changed it quickly without questioning. Starter was an
average salad - not bad in anyway, but not standout either. The steak was
actually quite good, but the T-Bone had the smallest fillet section I think I
have ever had. Dessert was pretty good sorbets.
the wine selection was ok. Not the best by the glass wines I've had, but not out
of line with the price point of the restaurant.
Overall, Ok. If you are in whistler for 3 nights - there are better restaurants.
If you are here for a week like I was, this would be in your top 10. Needs a bit
more consistency though..

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at the Four Seasons Resort
Whistler. The accommodations, service and spa were superb, as always. We stayed
the week before the holidays, so the crowds were not there yet, which was
lovely. The Ski Concierge at the base of Blackcomb was fantastic! The staff
organized snowshoe trips for my husband and daily ski lessons with
Whistler/Blackcomb mountain for myself (by the way, I highly recommend ski pro
Myrna Iaconetti-Bush. She was an amazing instructor - I was surprised how
quickly I progressed under her guidance! I look forward to staying again at the
Four Seasons Whistler!

This was my first stay at a Four Seasons. I travel to Whistler often during
winter weekends. The service was impeccable and true to the legends. However,
the physical plant is outdated and aging poorly, and the interior decors were
perfunctory rather than cozy. I got a Superior King, and updated to a Suite upon
arrival for more $. Even in the primo Suite, which apparently go for BIG rates
all during the season, I did not enjoy the room, and the location out of the
village led to an isolated experience. If you like having your fanny kissed by
staff, and you like a 60s or 70s big money feel, this is for you. All others
maybe try for something else.

We stayed here for our anniversary and loved it. The room was gorgeous (helped
no doubt by an upgrade and a bottle of champagne in the room when we arrived).
The location is excellent, great hiking/walking trails just outside the door.
The spa and pool are great.
The fitness centre could be better - lots of cardio machines but not a lot of
weights. The free yoga class was great though - although not offered as
frequently as the web-site indicated.
The restaurant was good too - I am vegan and the steak house restaurant came up
with one of the best vegan meals I have had.

Choose another 5 star hotel
Our expectations of the 4 Seasons was high having stayed at one of their hotels
overseas. However, I was disappointed with this facility. We also found the bar
not to our liking. To us it seemed the bar was put in a wide aisle at the
basement level. It was almost like the bar and restaurant were an afterthought.
We spent time over at the Fairmount having eating, drinking and listening to
music rather than spend time at the 4 Seasons. The grounds were immaculately
kept and beautiful and took some time to use the outdoor pool and spas (there
are three outdoor spas and the jets on one spa did not work). My recommendation:
Iif you are going to spend money on a upscale hotel I would not recommend this
particular 4 Seasons at this time.

The room was lovely!! They "upgraded" us at gratis & made our trip extra
special. We were celebrating our birthdays & Anniversary. The bed was very
comfortable & the bathroom was terrific. All the employees are so young, sweet &
always were helpful. Without question, we would stay with The Four Seasons
again. The only down side, and it’s not a big deal... is that the hotel is in
the Upper Village which is a bit of a walk to the fun stuff. But the walking was
worth staying at this hotel for sure. The bar had a more casual restaurant & the
food was delicious. And surprisingly, the prices were just as palatable. If you
are interested in a quiet, beautiful & comfortable hotel, this is the perfect
place for your vacation. They also had great shampoo/conditioner, bath gel &
soap. It’s made by L’Occitane which is a wonderful line of bath products. So
leave your shampoos & stuff home since they have great product. Also, for the
ladies, the hairdryer was compact, yet powerful!! I have a ton of long & thick
hair & very few hairdryers do well for me. Happily, I was able to use their
hairdryer & continue on our vacation.

I love Whistler and British Columbia that I wish I can live there. Staying at
the four seasons makes it doubly painful to leave this piece of heaven on earth.
The facilities may need some freshening up but with an amazing staff, great
food, great gym and amazing spa services( had a deep tissue massage for 110
minutes), it really gets difficult to go back to work. One thing though, I wish
hotels like this have lap pools instead of those irregularly shaped ones.
