Management response from Tom Lefkovits, Manager
Dec 28, 2010
I am most disappointed and astonished regarding the service levels
experienced during your most recent visit to the Hilton Whistler Resort
and Spa. As you’ve pointed out, Diamond members are entitled to
complimentary continental breakfast (2 per room per day) and we do
provide these upon check in for all Diamond members. Further, we do
allow individuals who are affected medically and provide medical
certificates to alter their length of stay without penalty.
I wish to reach out and discuss the details of your visit over the
phone. I invite you to contact me through our Hotel’s main number so I
may fully research the concerns you’ve highlighted and ensure your
satisfaction.
I look forward to speaking with you and apologize that we did not meet
your expectations during this visit.
Respectfully,
Tom Lefkovits

The hotel is located very conveniently (about 2 minutes walk) from the
Whistler Gondola in the heart of the village. Right outside the hotel
are shops, restaurants, bars etc.
The rooms were luxurious and really large, but it was slightly dark;
there was insufficient lighting. The bed sheets and towels were thick
and very comfortable and there was an exorbitant amount of soap, shampoo
and conditioner on offer in the hotel rooms. There is complimentary
internet (wired and wireless); room was well-appointed but lacked some
quality installations such as marble/granite etc.
Skis and boots can be stored at the "Summit" shop located 30 seconds
walk from the hotel lobby. The hotel lobby is spacious but the couches
next to the fireplace were very uncomfortable - you could neither sit
straight nor slouch. The hotel has an exercise room, pool, sauna and spa
as well as a really nice and reasonably-priced restaurant and bar. The
restaurant served very good quality food and the service was fantastic!

Stayed one night at the Hilton Hotel Whistler with my wife the week-end
prior to the opening of the ski season. Queen suite was $150 ish for the
night. which was good value. Room was very clean with a fun jacuzzi tub.
The kitchen facilities were nice and well appointed. The hotel is well
located near Whistler village centre. The rooms were quiet and the staff
polite. Hotel Review of the Hilton

We typically choose smaller luxury, boutique hotels versus larger chains
but being 'shoulder' season, we could not resist the low rates at the
Hilton Hotel Whistler. We had a junior suite for $170/night that was
huge! Had a full kitchen including a full sized refrigerator,
dishwasher, granite countertops with a four seat breakfast bar. The
loving area was large and comfortable. Decorating was tasteful. The
bathroom was an average size and was clean and more than adequate.
Bathrobes and slippers were provided. We also had a balcony overlooking
the village with mountain views as well....quite nice.
The Hilton Hotel could not be better located as it is right in Whistler
Village. We did have a car and parking is an additional $25 charge but
we used self park which was easy and convenient. However, if you are
planning on spending you time in the Village, you will not need a car
and it is a very easy walk to all shops, restaurants, bars and many
Whistler attractions.
While the reception staff was friendly, we found the concierge service
to be exceptional. They knew the area well and provided excellent
recommendations for everything from recreational activities to
restaurants. Some of the best concierge service we have experienced
anywhere in the world.
We never used the hotel restaurants or bars as there is so much
available in the Whistler Village however we did note that the hotel bar
was active and appeared popular.
In all, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay at
the Hilton and would definitely recommend it. While we were booked for
three nights we chose to stay one extra as it was hard to leave such a
beautiful place!!

we stayed in the Hilton hotel a few times this year. The staff is very
attentive, housekeeping does a great job, beds were comfortable. The
room we stayed in had a small kitchenette, fireplace (fire log is
provided free of charge nightly). The pool was nice and warm and the
sauna was hot. You can walk from the hotel to the center of the Whistler
village.

We spent one night at Hilton, and it was an amazing experience! They
upgraded our room, they let us to check in around 12PM, much earlier
than we expected! I found the best deal through
www.allure-hotels.com. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and they left
strawberries cover with chocolate and a happy birthday wish in our room.
Location is excellent!
