Location was slap bang in the middle of the village which is exactly
what we were after. Obviously with being in such a central location it
does come with some noise but this was hardly noticeable! If you're
looking at going in winter to do some skiing/boarding the Whistler
gondola (which you also use to access the PEAK 2 PEAK gondola) is
literally a few steps away. I also recommend doing the PEAK 2 PEAK
anytime of the year - although do dress wisely. When we went up, there
had just been a fresh fall of snow the night before and we were not
wearing the most appropriate footwear and felt the cold!
Overall Whistler is great with stunning views and a chilled atmosphere
and our visit was enhanced further by our stay in this hotel! I'm
already planning my next trip back to Whistler and without doubt will be
staying in the Mountainside Lodge Hotel Whistler !

After looking at other hotels, we thought this hotel was worth a try and
it was wallet-friendly. We only stayed one night in Whistler but we
would stay here again if we returned to Whistler. The lady on reception
kindly gave us some great places to eat and what to do in a day.
The decor is a bit dated but do not let that put you off too much. We
had a studio room with a pull down bed which was comfy. There is a
kitchenette in the room, perfectly fine bathroom and dining area by the
kitchen. There are coin operated washers and driers available and an
outdoor swimming pool which was nice and warm on a coldish morning.
Ideally located for Whistler Village and the only slight niggle was a
bit of road noise but even that was minimal.

We have been to Whistler many times before and have loved staying at
Mountainside Lodge. Our favorite restaurant in the space below is
Trattoria. Great Food and Ambiance. We came this last weekend to Telus
and loved the fact that we are right in the heart of the village. Pulled
in and parked, and didn't have to move our car once the whole stay.
Walked to the lifts, pubs, shopping and yet because this isn't the first
hotel right in the center, it buffered the noise of the bands so it was
very quiet which is important to us when we are sleeping. They have not
done a lot of updates, but it was nice to have a full kitchen,
fireplace, and Jacuzzi tub and dry sauna in our room. We are going back
in 2 weeks and will be trying to get he same room. The only negative I
would say is that the beds were a little hard. Not like the plush one I
have at home!

Our family (two teenagers two adults) went on a whistler ski trip early
March.
Location : very nicely located, walk able distance to both whistler and
Blackcomb gondolas. Always a nice feeling when you can leave your
hotel/condo room with your ski boots on !
room : we had the mezzanine suite with one bedroom upstairs including
full bathroom and a small sauna. Our two teenagers were using the sofa
bed downstairs and complained a bit about the sofa bed comfort. Our own
bed was really comfortable, no issues there, however i would probably
not recommend for adults to sleep in the sofa bed.
the kitchen is fully furnished, you can cook your own meals - very
useful for family -.
full size fridge, coffee machine, toaster, stove/oven, dishwashing
machine, etc..
there are no washing machine in the room however, there is a separate
area in the building however if you wish to use washing machine.
Pool / Hot Tub : We didn't use it. Please note that hot tub is outdoor
and quite small (was always full..).
Parking : indoor underground parking. Careful, it's a 17$ per day
additional fee, not included in your room fee.
Staff : very professional and knowledgeable staff. they provided us all
the required support and information whenever we needed it.
Lockers : With your room you get a ski/snowboard locker located in the
underground parking area. Very useful.
Ski : fantastic mountain. Guaranteed pleasure for any level of skiers.
prioritise the symphony Amphitheater on whistler mountain and both the
glacier and the seven heaven area on Blackcomb mountain (especially on a
nice sunny day)
We would definitely go back to this hotel. It's very decent , excellent
location and price is right.

We booked via Whistler web site, and bought a 5 night free package. When
we arrived we also got the option to upgrade our studio to a deluxe room
- which cost us $20 extra per night. The total price per night for the
deluxe room came down to $147 (incl tax). Parking is pretty pricy - $17
per day ($85 for five days). We where happy to upgrade the room, which
then included a Jacuzzi for two (in the bedroom!!!), two tv's, comfy
bed, two washrooms (one with a tub/shower), a kitchenette and another
sofa/pull out bed. The room was clean and we had tons of space.
The only thing that was negative was the sound proofing of the windows -
or the lack of. Bring ear plugs! No noise from other rooms, but from
cars and people outside the hotel. We had a room facing Blackcomb, but
still very noisy.

The building is old and the rooms are a bit dated, so I wouldn't come to
the Mountainside for a romantic getaway or a business retreat, but for a
reasonably priced ski weekend it is excellent. Fully equipped kitchens,
DVD players and stereos make for a comfortable time when not riding the
slopes. Staff were friendly and courteous during the brief times we saw
them. Parking is expensive at $17 per night, but free wireless was nice.
Street noise is an issue for light sleepers, but I never leave home
without earplugs.

Great location, close to the slopes, and staff are friendly, BUT, very
noisy due to proximity to pubs. I was greatly disappointed with the
service. I found the room dirty and the iron had brown water in it which
stained one of my shirts. I contacted the front desk, but got a "ya so"
response. I was even more surprised when I got the same response from
management.
