Review of the Pan Pacific Hotel Whistler Mountainside

The Pan Pacific Mountainside is located in a great location - a short
distance from the chair lifts and gondola. We thought the hotel was very
good in all respects - our room was very clean and the staff were very
friendly and helpful. Like other reviewers we felt the parking charge
was on the high side but we were aware in advance so were prepared.
We ate in the hotel Irish pub -the food was good and the service
excellent.
Our sleep was disturbed at 3am by a group of guests in the corridor -
laughing joking and drinking - but we couldn't blame the hotel for the
selfishness of other guests.
The hotel sell discounted tickets for the peak to peak - a cable car
experience like no other - don't miss it.!

I stayed in this hotel with my immediate and extended family prior to
the 2010 Winter Olympics in December 2009 for 10 nights. I only have
compliments for this hotel. Not only was this hotel located conveniently
to Whistler village, it was a ski-in/ski-out accommodation and so every
morning, I literally walked 20 seconds from the hotel's backdoor to the
private lesson meeting area, which is adjacent to the ski lifts. I
would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is our second time to the PPMtnside. We love Whistler so much we
named our dog Whistler-, but the Pan Pacific makes it the best place in
the world! This hotel has the best views- we stayed this time in a
suite- two rooms, two baths, kitchen, living area/fireplace. VERY clean-
and I'm picky with clean! -so I never thought I would
say this about a hotel, but I would stay forever at the Pan Pacific in
Whistler!! No matter what other hotels have its nowhere, but the Pan
Pacific Mountainside for us!!!

We stopped at Whistler for 2 nights during our 3 week Canada tour and we
loved the resort. The hotel, right in the heart of the main village was
fantastic. We had a premier suite on the top floor with fantastic views
of Whistler mountain. The suite was so well appointed and luxurious, we
felt spoiled. The hotel staff were so friendly too and were able to
offer lots of advice on things to do in the area. I could have easily
stayed another night!

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The room is very nicely
decorated and equipped. The granite countertops in the kitchen and
bathroom, fluffy white robes, very nice appliances, TV and DVD player in
the room. Also complimentary wireless internet.
We have nothing but positive comments about this hotel and would
definitely stay there again or recommend it to others. The value was
great, the special price included two passes to the Peak to Peak
gondola.

The hotel is conveniently located. The room was clean with cookware and
facility. The only surprise was the $25 parking fee per night.

The Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside is a very good hotel. The location is
convenient to the main part of Whistler village and the Whistler ski lifts.
The rooms are chalet style and use Murphy beds to create extra space. My room
had a full kitchen and plenty of closet and storage space.
I would definitely consider the Pan Pacific
Whistler Mountainside the next time I stay in Whistler.

The Pan Pacific is an excellent choice for a stay at Whistler. We found

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is extremely convenient for both the
Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas and having ski hire facilities within the hotel
was very handy. The outside hottub is a particular treat after a hard days
skiing as was the steam room. The room itself was very spacious with all the
necessary facilities including fridge, cooker, microwave etc. I would definitely
stay here again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights back in September. Room was a sort of
squeezed in room between the two aspects of the hotel. So room had a
small single door to balcony overlooking pool and the ski lifts. The
room widens out from the balcony like a cheese slice. When we walked in
the room - no visible bed!! It was a pull down bed. Bit surprised, but
in the end we liked the space during the day. Room was very clean. It
had a seating area, small kitchen.
Really great location especially if you go in the winter as it's right
next to the ski lifts. At the end of the village, but as village is
small, makes it a great location again. All in all a great place to stay
- next time we'll come back in the winter and ski whistler!!!

This place is awesome! The staff was really nice and attentive to our
needs. Whenever we walked passed the front desk, they made sure we had
everything we needed. We liked the fact that it was right on the
mountain and we could store our skis in the locker room provided. You
can rent skis and get lift tickets (at a discount w/ them if you book in
advance 72 hr). We used the kitchen in our room to cook all of our
meals. There is a great grocery store in town where you can find all
kinds of unusual vacation goodies. You can walk to everything. Also, the
outside hot tubs and pool are great. But we especially loved the steam
room. We can't wait to go back! (oh -- we were curious about the
whistler village center and walked over to compare -- they are basically
next door to each other. The village center was more modern but also
very nice. we liked the mountain feel of the our hotel. Also, there is a
managers welcome at the village center between 4 and 5 -- you can get a
free beer/wine and chat it up with other skiers).

Great Hotel, beautiful room, luxurious sheets, towels, amenities.
Extremely friendly and accommodating service staff. Closest hotel to the
mountain gondolas, just retrieve your skis from ski valet, walk a few
feet and up the mountain you go! Nice spa, workout room and talked to
others that have stayed there many times and they love it too.
Would love to go back soon!!

We were SO thrilled with this hotel that we extended our stay two
nights! Rooms gorgeous, clean, comfy and all-around wonderful! Loved the
kitchen amenity, and separate bedroom. We had a room on the 7th floor
that overlooked the ski/bike runs, and loved it! Staff so friendly and
helpful. Housekeeping staff fabulous, considerate, friendly and
wonderful. Seriously, can't say enough good things about this place, and
I'm a really hard grader! I give it an A+++! Would stay here again in a
heartbeat! |
