Whistler Ziptrek Tours

Ziptrek Ecotours

Feel the adrenaline pump through your veins as you soar along ziplines up to 2,000' long and 200' above the forest floor while reaching speeds of 80 km/hr! Ziptrek guides take you on an interpretive adventure through the treetops between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

Fully guided Ziptrek tours take guests on an inspiring journey through the forest via a series of suspension bridges, observation platforms, ground based trails and, of course, ziplines!

About the Ziplines

Our ziplines are steel cables that are anchored between two points - generally between treetop and treetop.

Guests are outfitted with a climbing harness and are then attached to the zipline cable with a two wheeled pulley. For each aerial launch platform, guests are instructed to step down the platform stairs until they feel the tension of the tethers holding their weight. They can then simply pick up their feet, step off the platform and soar as they glide down the cable picking up speeds of over 80 km/hr (50mph).

While on a zipline cable guest have the freedom to move, look around and position themselves in various ways (ie. upside down!) to increase the speed and the thrill.

Ziptrek has two fantastic and distinct tours to choose from.

Ziptrek Bear

The ziplines on the Ziptrek Bear tour range between 200' and 1100' (60m to 330m) in length. The first and shortest line of this tour is done right in Whistler Village and is just a small taste of what's to come! Ziptrek Bear is perfect for families, groups and those who have never ziplined before.

Ziptrek Eagle

The ziplines on the Ziptrek Eagle tour range between 400' and 2000' (120m to 610m) in length. While you will be shuttled up Blackcomb to start your tour the last line finishes right in Whistler Village! Ziptrek Eagle is perfect for those who have already experienced Ziptrek or are seeking even more heart pounding adrenaline!

Ziptrek Ecotours Location and Directions

If you're driving into Whistler from the South (Squamish/Vancouver), turn right at the lights on to Village Gate Boulevard (the main entrance to Whistler Village). Follow the signs to the day skier parking lots - this is the best place to park.

Walk from the parking lots towards the Whistler Village Gondolas. Ziptrek Ecotours is located inside the Carleton Lodge right across from the gondolas - and next to the very well known Longhorn Saloon. In the summer months, Ziptrek is on the main floor inside "Garbanzo Bike & Bean". In the winter months, Ziptrek is located downstairs in the same building.
