The Blackcomb Lodge hotel was in the middle of it all. The bus from the
Vancouver Airport stops in front of the property. The rooms offer a fully
furnished kitchen. There is a supermarket and liquor store across the street.

Good location, clean enough rooms, air conditioner worked but shut off after 5
minutes.
Had to keep getting up during the night to turn it back on. We were in room 132
and it was so excessively noisy till 4am!!!!! Doors slamming in the hallways and
loud drunks, right out front of our balcony there was yelling going on all
night, there's a bar at the end of the lodge so all the loudmouths came out of
there!!! Went to La Brassiere for breakfast, it took twenty minutes for the
waitress to clear off the table and take the order, food was not very good. Was
really disappoint in Ric`s Mix Grill (fancy restaurant downstairs) My steak
mooed, I asked for it medium, the twice baked potato had raw bacon in it, and
the ``Oscar`` part of it consisted of two scallops, two shrimps and cold
béarnaise sauce, sent that back for heating twice, the waitress proceeded to
tell me the cook said béarnaise sauce is supposed to be served chilled!!!! Yeah
right, in Alaska maybe!! Anyways, the service in Whistler better improve before
the 2010 Olympics or it's going to reflect very badly on the resort and
hopefully not on our province in general.....

As others have mentioned the location was great. The balcony overlooking the
street was great! But I made the mistake of assuming that since it had four beds
and a suite it would have TWO bathrooms. It didn't ..BIG PAIN. The upstairs room
was small but that wasn't the problem it was the beds. I don't think i have had a
more uncomfortable bed.
The folks at the desk were cool.
Overall, had the beds been better I would have not really had a major gripe. But
the beds really sucked ...all four of us felt the same way.

Beds were comfy, great central location and the rooms were clean and tidy
The room stated it could sleep six but we were quite cramped with four adults
and wondered where we could have put the coffee table if we had needed to use
the sofa bed.
We had read previous reviews and requested a quiet back unit so i imagine the
front units would be even noisier with the tractors coming to clear the snow in
the mornings.
Skiis and snowboards had to be kept in racks at reception. The unit was cold
when we arrived but we just kept the blow heater running most of the time we
were there.
Overall the location was excellent, being right in the centre of the village and
it was clean and tidy.

I thought that the hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. Great location
for both the village and 5 minutes walk from the main lifts. having spent time
in flashier accommodation on the perimeter bus route I much prefer the
convenience of the Blackcomb. was able to get first lifts most days which was
the main point of the holiday.
we had a room overlooking the main drag and didn't find the noise intrusive at
all, however the thin walls meant that the frat house who spent a couple of days
next door to us where a bit annoying .
We had 4 adults in our room and whilst it wasn't overly spacious it was fine.
bathroom clean and maintained daily, fridge/freezer large stove sofa. ski
storage was great, just handed them over at the end of the day, pool and Jacuzzi
both clean and up to standard.
all in all a great place if what you want is a central place where you can ski
all day, comer back change and go out.
